Questions About Our Products

  • How fresh are your products?

    All our products are ultra fresh. All bouquets are assembled and created right before they are delivered to your door. That way we don't need to use preservatives or other tricks to keep things looking fresh - they just are. Ideally our products should be consumed on the day of their delivery.

    We stamp the production date on everything that leaves our kitchen so you can verify how fresh we work.

  • How is our fruit so fresh and tasty?

    We pick, select and often even taste the best fruit straight from the source. We don't carry stock, we only select what we need for the production on each day. Our fruit is bite-ready, that is guaranteed.

  • How long can I keep the fruit arrangements?

    Each fruit arrangement is produced on demand and that means we can guarantee they are super fresh when they are delivered. The fruit is handpicked to be bite-ripe for immediate consumption on the day you receive it. Our products should be kept cool at any time.

    The best thing to do if you have left overs is to take the fruit off the sticks, wrap or seal it in a container and keep it in your fridge. The fruit may dry out a little but will remain edible for several days.

    Our fresh fruit products don't contain preservatives and should be treated like any other fresh product you buy.

  • Do we get the exact same products as shown on the web site?

    Current products may differ from the ones shown on the web site. We endeavour to deliver the arrangements as they are depicted in images on the web site but as we are working with fresh products we can offer no guarantees as to availability of certain ingredients, vases and/or containers. These may be substituted by alternatives of equal value.

    Feel free to contact us before you order so we can inform you of current availabilities and arrangements.

  • Don't you think these arrangements are rather expensive?

    Our arrangements don't come cheap but you get a lot of value in return. Ask our customers. We are not expensive compared to a lot of alternatives. Feel free to browse around for the average price of a (small) flower arrangement and you will understand what we mean by that. A fruit bouquet takes a lot more time to prepare as our staff have to manually select fruit, cut it and puzzle it piece by piece into an attractive and fresh arrangement.

    Taste You Can See uses premium fruit for each and every arrangement. We will never compromise on that. That also means that the purchase cost of the fruit is not our first concern and that is reflected in our prices as well.

  • Arrangements containing alcohol

    Deliveries or arrangements containing alcohol MUST be signed for by the customer or an authorised person over the age of 18.

    We will not deliver alcohol to unattended premises or PO Boxes. If a premise is found to be unattended, a fee may need to be charged for redelivery.

Questions About Payments

  • How can I pay on the web site?

    We accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards for all online payments. You can pay by Paypal and Amex by choosing the PAYPAL option on check out. All credit card payments are handled by third parties so no credit card details are stored on our servers. This offers the best security, so you can shop in all confidence.

    FRUITFLOWERS also offers payment via bank transfer. When you select this option on check-out we will register your order and send you a payment advice. Once your payment has been sighted we will confirm your order and release it for shipment. Our bank account number is 02-0238-0026817-00 at BNZ.

    Regular and corporate clients can apply for a special login and password. This will allow you to place orders and we will email you an invoice. You have seven days to pay this invoice. Please refer to the Corporate Information section on the web site for more information.

  • Do you accept Cash on Delivery orders?

    Due to the nature of our products we do not accept cash on delivery orders. Exceptions can be made for corporate or regular clients but will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for more information.

Questions About Deliveries

  • Can we collect orders ourselves?

    Yes, we can arrange for you to pick-up your order in Auckland (Sunnynook). Please contact us to schedule a time and date for collection.

    Please note that transporting our arrangements by yourself can be a challenge as our bouquets are always bigger and heavier than you would think!

    If you do select the pick-up option make sure that you bring someone along to hold the arrangement during transport to avoid damage to it.

  • What if I am not home when you deliver?

    Our driver will try to contact you and/or the sender. The delivery will be left at the recipients front or back door, if requested to do so by the sender or if our experienced couriers deem it safe to do so. Or the driver may leave a calling card on recipient's door or in their letterbox asking them to call Taste You Can See and arrange a convenient time for re-delivery (charges may apply for re-delivery).

  • Do you deliver in weekends or on holidays?

    We offer delivery on Saturdays, but in general we are unable to deliver on Sundays. Delivery on public holidays varies. We advise that you confirm any queries for delivery on weekends or public holidays by contacting us.

Questions about Gift Certificates

  • How do Gift Certificates work?

    Our Gift Certificates are managed electronically. These Certificates can be purchased for $20 or $50 and can be redeemed for any product in our online store.

    The way Gift Certificates work is easy, secure and straightforward:

    1. Add the Gift Certificate(s) to you shopping cart and continue shopping or proceed to the check-out just like you would do for any other product.

    2. When your order contains a Gift Certificate you will be asked to enter name and e-mail for the recipient of this Gift Certificate.

    3. If you wish to deliver the Gift Certificate in person, you may skip the above step and click continue. In this case it is up to you to communicate the Certificate details to the recipient once we have emailed them to you.

    4. The recipient will be able to use the Certificate Code at the checkout whenever they purchase products from our online store by entering it in the payment form.

    Gift Certificate Codes are generated and emailed only after your order has been verified and processed by our staff, so there will be some delay between the moment you place your order and the moment you or the recipient receive them.

    Please allow up to 12 hours for your order to clear. We will email your confirmation once the Certificate Codes have been sent to the recipient(s).

  • How long are Gift Certificates valid?

    Every Gift Certificate has a validity of 6 months from the date of purchase. We will donate the value of any unclaimed Gift Certificate to charity.

  • Can I order gift certificates for more than 1 recipient at the same time?

    Yes, but in this case you should not fill out the "Send Code To Recipient" form. We will email you all Certificate Codes once we have verified and processed your order, you can then deliver to the recipients.

  • What happens if I lose a Gift Certificate Code?

    Don’t panic. We keep track of all Gift Certificates you order. You can re-verify these details by logging into your account and clicking on the specific order details.
